2016
Roads and Maritime Services
CDMS Electrical Engineers was engaged by the Roads and Maritime Services to undertake an electrical and control system upgrade on the Batemans Bay Bridge lifting span and associated traffic controls. This included an electrical installation which comprised of stainless steel conduits and accessories to combat seawater degradation, while the control system upgrades included the latest technologies in redundancy, safety, communications, variable speed drives and motors.
2015
HMAS Stirling Naval Base Project
CDMS Electrical Engineers and its sister company, CDMS Consulting Engineers were commissioned by Decmil Australia to provide civil, structural, electrical and mechanical engineering design and detailing services for the Defence Fuel Installation (DFI) remediation project at HMAS Stirling Naval Base on Garden Island, Western Australia.

2011 – 2015
Hanson Quarry Sites
CDMS Electrical Engineers became the Electrical Engineer in charge for a number of Hanson Quarry sites, being responsible for electrical requirements of each site. Various services such as compliance audits, design upgrades, ISMP development, implementation and training were also carried out across sites.

Silver Corporation Australia Project
Silver Corporation Australia utilised CDMS to conduct Compliance Audits on their Wonawinta site, where CDMS implemented Safety Management Systems, as well as providing Design & Plant Upgrades, Maintenance Programs and Project Management.

Safety and Compliance
As electrical safety became more regulated, CDMS became more involved with AS3000/AS3007 Compliance Audits, and ISMP’s. Developing site management systems, training staff and providing site relevant procedures also became a key service.

Onesteel Projects
CDMS consulted on a number of projects for Onesteel, including Equipment upgrades, various Maintenance Projects, as well as assuming Project Management roles.

Growing
CDMS Electrical Engineers extended its client base in NSW and Queensland, creating the need to hire another Consulting Engineer and to relocate to bigger office premises at Warners Bay (Newcastle) to support the growing team.
2001 – 2008
Curragh Coal Mine Project
CDMS Electrical Engineers was involved in several upgrades at Curragh Coal Mine incorporating both Power Systems and Automation & Control, for the Train Load-out, Stacking and Reclaiming Areas, HV infrastructure, and Dragline Rebuild/Overhaul. CDMS was also instrumental in the Curragh North Upgrade project, including the 20km overland conveyor system

Established 2000
CDMS Electrical Engineers started as a small one-man engineer consultancy. Although based in Newcastle, CDMS’s major clients at this time were Queensland coal mines. CDMS offered consultancy services for new conceptual design, design upgrades and for ongoing maintenance programs.
